The Project

Maitly sits at the front line of restaurant phone traffic: an AI voice agent answers every inbound call, checks live availability, holds the table and writes the booking back to OpenTable while the caller is still on the line. Their customers range from single-site independents to regional groups running many locations under one account.

The Challenge

Maitly had a working product in paying restaurants and a roadmap aimed at much larger groups. The reservation flow had gaps, the agent wasn't hardened for real calls, and there was no billing or multi-location model yet.

The Solution

The AI Phone Agent

Rebuilt the reservation path end to end, from live availability to a single recap before confirmation. Removed dead air on calls, added modifications, staff transfer and after-hours behavior, plus Spanish detection and SMS confirmations.

Commercial Infrastructure

Built subscriptions and billing on Stripe, usage reporting by period and location, enterprise plans with direct invoicing, and an onboarding flow that connects a new restaurant to OpenTable in one go.

Multi-Location Operations

Four roles with per-location access, full call history with transcripts, dashboards scoped by role, and greetings, hours and transfers configured per organization and per location.
