Vehicle recovery operatorField operations
Radio dispatch replaced with real-time GPS tracking
#ForSMBs
A US-based vehicle recovery operator came to CodingIT with a product idea rather than a product. CodingIT built the platform from an empty repository, and it now runs the daily operations of 30 recovery companies.

The Project
The platform serves recovery companies that manage fleets of field drivers across geographic territories, coordinating day and night shifts. Every company on it is a separate tenant with its own drivers, zones and client reporting. Three applications make up the product: a web console for operations staff, a Windows desktop app reporting driver position from the vehicle, and a mobile app giving each driver their zones for the day.
The Challenge
The industry was not short of software — it was short of software that joined up. Existing platforms covered parts of the operation, drivers were directed over radio with no shared record of where anyone was, and case updates in RDN (Recovery Database Network, the industry's repossession assignment platform) were entered by hand. The owner read that fragmentation as a market opportunity, and engaged CodingIT to build the platform for the industry.
The Solution
CodingIT became the product's engineering team, taking it from an empty repository to a commercial multi-tenant SaaS across three client applications.
Multi-Tenant Platform and Billing
Tenant isolation at the data layer so each company's drivers, zones and cases stay separate, and Stripe subscriptions with per-user pricing, grace periods, failed-payment retries and self-serve reactivation.
Operations Console
Zone creation and management on an interactive map, shift-aware zone assignment with one driver per zone per shift, and a dashboard showing live zone coverage for any date and shift.
Field Applications
A Windows desktop app reporting driver position every 3 seconds, with locations queued locally to survive connectivity gaps, a mobile zone carousel for each driver, and RDN case updates triggered automatically from geofence events.

Results
30recovery companies live within months of launch
Built from scratch into a commercial platform in under 6 months, across web, Windows desktop and mobile
Radio replaced by GPS reporting every 3 seconds, giving operations live visibility of every driver
Manual RDN case updates eliminated; client notifications now fire automatically as drivers move through recovery routes
